On November 04th 2019, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) professors and staffs have a warm meeting with representatives from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to discuss about collaboration and how to raise the relationship to a higher level. After the welcoming meeting, MHI guests are invited to go on a lab tour of HUST scientific and engineering facilities.
In the meeting, MHI presents about its mission and capability, shared technology framework and research activity at MHI. MHI affirms they are working on Sustainable development goals by delivering reliable and innovative solutions and “shifting the path” in the medium/long-term towards a more environmental-friendly way. In his talk, after mentioning HUST’s four fields of priority, Mr. Huynh Trung Hai, Head of Research Management Office, agrees that in addtion to innovation and technology, sustainable energy and environment is also a research topic that HUST is focusing on. He also assures HUST and MHI’s previous cooperation through a number of activities including scholarships, international conferences, lectures and factory tours, etc.

Prof. Dinh Van Phong, HUST Vice-president, on the other hand, is very pleased to hear about MHI’s establishment of Co-Creation Centers and hopes the ties between HUST and MHI are further strengthened.

After the meeting, MHI are invited to go on a lab tour of HUST scientific and engineering facilities including Aeronautical Training Laboratory, Lab of Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, R&D Center for Electronics and Telecommunications and International Centre for R&D of Satellite Navigation Technology.

The one-hour lab tour gives the attendees an insight of HUST’s research and experiment activities, in which they can see HUST’s innovation as well as energy and enthusiasm.
