Within the framework of South East Technical University Consortium (SEATUC), the SEATUC Steering Committee Meeting and SEATUC Symposim have been organized at HCMC University of Technology during 13-14 March, 2017. Representatives from HUST are Assoc.Pro.Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang – Vice President and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phu Khanh – Director of International Cooperation Department.
SEATUC Steering Committee Meeting and Consorsium Symposium are organized annually by member instututions. This is the time that all members’ leaders discuss the next comming activities of the Consorsium and researchers of all members institutions publish their papers in technical fields. SEATUC includes 8 members institutions: 1 member from Japan (Shibaura Institute of Technology – SIT) and 7 members from ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam). HUST is one among two members comming from Vietnam. Main activities of the Consorsium are: SEATUC meeting & SEATUC International Symposium, Hybrid Twinning Program (HBT) with Master’s + Doctor’s Program and Doctor’s Program, students and staff exchange, university – industry linkage activites and projects.

In SEATUC events 2017, HUST has jointed the “President Pannel” session with a presentation themed “Globalization in Higher Education: the Role of Industry - University Cooperation: Case study in HUST”. Vice President Huynh Quyet Thang has shared the experience of HUST in promoting relationship with industry and the benefits of these activites.
At SEATUC Steering Committee Meeting on March 14th 2017, HUST delegation also actively contributed the ideals to the next comming activities of SEATUC. There are totally 7 papers from HUST reseachers presented at SEATUC Consorsium Symposium 2017

Next year, SEATUC 2018 will be hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia during 2 days of March 12-13, 2018.
