HUST held the 2021 Announcement Ceremony of Appointment Decision for Professors and Associate Professors

2021 Appointment of Professor and Associate Professor 

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology appoints 01 Professor and 29 Associate Professors. The number of Professors and Associate Professors of the University is higher than that in 2020 (including 22 Professors and Associate Professors). Notably, lecturer Le Van Lich (born in 1988), School of Materials Science and Engineering, is the youngest Associate Professor in Vietnam in 2021.

Assoc. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of the University, congratulated the appointed professors and associate professors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of the University shared that the appointment achievements will challenge the new professor and associate professors to work harder and create more meaningful contributions. He further expressed his strong belief in the newly appointees’ passion for scientific research and teaching and discovery. 

He also expected that the lecturers will drive more collaboration in research and development of technological products with the spirit of “Make in Bach Khoa”.

In addition, the President also emphasized that in order to expand the international network in training and scientific research, "research groups and laboratories must be internationalized and attract talented experts to compete fairly with similar research groups around the world.”

Prof. Nguyen Huu Lam, Dean of the School of Engineering Physics, is the only professor appointed this year. On behalf of the newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors, he said, “We understand that with today's decision to appoint Professors and Associate Professors, we need to show more dedication to the University, and to work harder to complete all assigned tasks. We will try our best to inherit and develop the proud achievements of our HUST - the leading technical university in Vietnam”.
